The Inlakech Experience Hall Grand Palapa is about 100 meters from the cabins deeper in the Mayan Jungle, all surrounded by trees—a few meters apart there are three bathrooms, sinks, and outdoor showers. A storage unit for yoga mats, a PA sound system, and more. The Grand Palapa is the center for medicine ceremonies, yoga, sound-healing, dance and all the healing activity at Inlakech. It can easily accommodate 150 people standing and 75 lying down for yoga or sound healing; its dimensions are 13 x13 meters and 12 meters in height, with four openings for light symbolizing the four directions. It is a typical Mayan construction raised above ground using Zapote beams and Tzalan-quality wood.

Peacock Chill and Water Fountain
Is a small Palapa and is used as a special meeting hang-out in the middle of the hustle and bustle. This small Palapa is the peacock’s favorite hang-out spot during the heat and at night they fly on top of its grass roof. This spot is often used as a coffee meeting spot, talking about life, review with the Mayan workers in the morning and make plans for the day.
The water Fountain creates relaxing sounds and helps maintains the equilibrium in the project

The Pool for Janzu or Watzu
The dimension is 5 meters in diameter and 1.40 meters deep, shaped after the Ayahuasca vine. It allows us to enter the womb and be reborn after challenging processes. When approaching from the Vila, the pool is located to the left of the bee Hive. To its right is the Temazcal, or the sweat lodge and fire pit.
-
Pools
At the project, there are three pools. (The therapeutic pool for Watzu is located deeper in the jungle. )
Two interconnected pools are closer to the entrance of the project. One pool represented by the masculine God ‘Hunab Ku’ and the other pool is represented by the Mayan Goddess, ‘Ixcel’. Both pools have waterfalls, and they are connected by an open tunnel continually circulating; creating dynamic, energetic protection and maintaining a powerful aesthetic and sensual feeling.

Zapote is the most vigorous tree in the Mexican Jungle.

-
The Tambo
The Tambo is a part of the Shipibo tradition, an isolated hut built deep in the jungle, used for contemplating and meditating.
Inside this little hut there is only a desk, chair, and a hammock. A good place to spend a night alone, exploring your fears and limitations.
This is the furthest point in the jungle we can access so far.
-
Wildlife watering Heart Pool
Although a yearly rain fall averaged of 1400 mm in the Yucatan jungle, most water percolate underground to join the largest underground river system in the world.
This leaves the wild animals with little access to water. That is why we have built a heart shape watering hole and a feeding alter to share with the animals our food and water abundance.
-
Our plantation
We grow our Ayahuasca and Chacruna.
The inlakech Art and Music School
We have founded an art and music school for the children of the Antorcha Mayan community just a few kilometers from Inlakech.
The main activity takes place in their village while part of the activity is at Inlakech with violin, cello and viola lessons taught by Maestro Kassem Smaili.
